So You Want To Make Money From Web Marketing?
You’ve probably given a lot of thought to becoming a Web Marketer and making some good money from home. You like many things about the idea – you can work from home in your shorts and t-shirt, you can create a digital product and sell it over and over again, you can decide your own working hours and if you want to go play golf in the middle of the day, you can. You’re also excited by the possibility of getting a better income than you do now.
You can become a successful Web marketer and make a great income, but it’s not an easy get-rich-quick scheme like some may have you believe. You need to do a lot of learning and put in a lot of hard work to achieve success time after time.
There are three stages of Internet marketing that you will go through and they’ll be explained here so you understand what’s ahead for you in your big career change.
Stage 1: Information overload can get in your way
So you’ve made the decision to become a Web marketer. Some people find this an easy choice and for others it’s more difficult. Whichever, you have to be fully committed to it and not just play around. Trying it out and shying away as soon as things get a little tough will not get you very far.
You are visiting sales pages and downloading products to learn about Web marketing. These products guarantee good results if you read them closely and follow the instructions. You can see the potential so you’re excited. So you keep buying ebooks, keep testing the different business models being demonstrated, jumping from one thing to another and never giving your full attention to any one of them.
Many marketers now have you on their lists and you spend many hours reading their emails and checking out their new offers. You think you might miss something if you stop reading. You have so much information coming in and you’re so busy trying to learn it all that you don’t really accomplish anything.
Stage 2: Get focused and take action
You remain in the first stage until you finally realize what’s happening and that you’re not really doing anything to make a real income yet. Many people will give up before they get this far. However, you decide that you need to unsubscribe from most of the lists you are on, choose a business model you’re comfortable with, take a more focused approach to your learning (and don’t spend so much time on it), and start focusing your action.
You decide to fully commit to your chosen path and you work hard at it. Despite making some mistakes along the way you start be consistently successful. It’s now fun, especially when your PayPal account has regular money coming in.
Stage 3: Fine tune and make it hands off
You’re now successful with the business model you have picked, so it’s time to automate as much as possible. You use an autoresponder to send your emails, your clients and subscribers have their content delivered automatically, and your systems are all set-up. You can do what you’re doing many times over because you have templates in place, you’ve drawn up action sheets, and you’ve developed lots of shortcuts.
You have also built a team who are working with you. You have found a website developer, a graphic designer and have copywriters for your articles, blog posts and e-books. You also have good relationships with other web marketers and have many affiliates.
In no time you’ll be running your own coaching program teaching other web marketers the secrets of your success. You can still remember what it was like in stage 1.
